Luge Challenge transforms a mountain resort into an
exciting weekend of luge training and racing and exposes
thousands of winter enthusiasts to the Fastest Sport on
IceŽ free of charge.
The Luge Challenge has visited ski areas across the
country since 1995.
Anyone age 10 and up can experience the thrill of
luge in a safe slope-side setting, with instruction from
USA Luge World Cup and international team athletes.
After learning the basics of steering and stopping,
along with a few practice runs, racers will slide down
the snow-covered track, complete with curves and timing
equipment, and compete for prizes in four age groups:
men and women 18 and over; and boys and girls 10 to 17.
At the base of the luge track, you can hang out and
listen to great music and cheer on your fellow racers.
